# Chessnut SVG piece provenance

Copyright 2015 Alexis Luengas. Original design: https://github.com/LexLuengas/chessnut-pieces

The 12 SVGs in this directory are modified derivatives of the upstream Chessnut pieces, licensed under Apache License 2.0; the license text is at `/licenses/chessnut.txt`. This site's variants strip upstream editor metadata and optimize/minify SVG markup and styles for the web. No visual redesign was intended. Each modified SVG carries a prominent change notice at the top of the file.
